Trained at the highest level in child sleep, and honest with you about what the process involves.

My philosophy

Open, honest, and never judgemental.

When parents ask for help with their child's sleep, they're placing a great deal of trust in me — and I take that responsibility seriously.

I listen to your child's individual needs and to your parenting style, because you are the expert on your child. During our consultation I take into account their sleep needs, temperament and current routines, then give you a detailed, easy-to-follow, step-by-step plan — and I support you throughout.

My approach lets you stay responsive, verbally reassuring and emotionally connected the whole way through. With the right knowledge we build independent sleep habits for your child, so the whole family can start sleeping again.

Will my baby cry?

I'll answer that honestly, because you deserve honesty before you book. I don't believe in 'cry it out.' But crying is your child's way of protesting change, and changing sleep habits will involve some protest. I tell every parent that up front. What I promise in return is consistency, contact and communication in a loving environment — and me, on the other end of an email, every weekday.

It is easier to teach good habits first than to correct bad habits later on.

1:1 sleep support

What I can help you with.

Whatever you're facing, we work together on a plan that suits your family and your child's individual needs. These are the challenges I'm asked about most.

Night wakings — waking several times a night, when you're not sure what they need.

Feeding or rocking to sleep — when settling only works one way, and it always has to be you.

Naps — skipped altogether, too short, too long, or impossible to predict.

Bedtime resistance — late bedtimes and evenings that have become something you dread.

Early rising — up for the day at 5am, whatever time they went down the night before.

Transitions — dropping night feeds, moving to a big bed, or out of a parent's bed.

If you recognised your family in any of these, that's exactly what the free 15-minute consultation is for.

Testimonials

You are not alone.

Some of my success stories, from well-rested parents.

One of the best decisions I ever made was contacting Karen to help with my son not sleeping well during the night. She supported me through the whole process and was always quick to answer any questions. I highly recommend Karen to anyone having trouble with their child sleeping. Being able to have a full night sleep again feels amazing and I have more energy in the day! Thanks Karen!

ShellyBaby sleep support

I used to fear bedtime and I knew something had to change. Karen was always very kind and supportive especially when things weren't going well. If I was on my own, without Karen's support, I would have given up. My daughter can now put herself to sleep without my help and finally I have my evenings back. I am so grateful for Karen's help and recommend her to anyone.

ChristinaBedtime resistance

We asked for Karen's help because we used to have really big issues at bedtime with our 2½ year old son. The main issue was the time it took for our son to fall asleep. During our meetings Karen was very patient and clear. She took the time to listen to me and got involved with the whole situation. She provided a perfect plan based on our routine, activities and family dynamics and was clear with all the instructions. The experience was great and it really helped us, our toddler and the whole family.

JesicaToddler, 2½ years

I had the opportunity to work on my son's sleeping routine with Karen and it was a total pleasure! She was very nice the entire journey. She responded to my text messages and inquiries very fast and was always available to help me out. I can honestly say I wouldn't have tried to solve the sleeping problem if it wasn't for her. She did an excellent job finding the perfect solution in a very easy way. I truly recommend Karen as your sleeping coach.

About me

If it's sleep you're after, you're in the right place.

Hi, I'm Karen — a certified child sleep consultant and founder of My Restful Sleep. I'm passionate about sleep and about supporting families. As a mum of three, I know the difference it makes when the whole family is sleeping well, and how much the lack of it affects everyone.

From the moment I was pregnant I often heard that I should say goodbye to sleep. After my first daughter was born I was exhausted and sleep deprived, doing everything I could think of, in desperation, to get her to sleep. Little sleep was seen as 'normal', and I was never offered sleep advice as a new mum.

Everything changed when I hired a sleep consultant. With her guidance my daughter's sleep improved, I felt more rested, and I began to enjoy family time again. That's why I trained — and now I'm lucky enough to gift families with sleep and help educate parents worldwide.

Why choose to work with me

I gained an OCN Level 6 qualification in Holistic Sleep Coaching, an in-depth, science-backed training, and I also trained as a Sleep Sense™ Consultant — a method that has helped over 100,000 families around the world to improve their child's sleep. This extensive training at the highest level has equipped me with the skills to help you on your sleep journey.

Questions

Before you book.

The things parents most often want to know. If yours isn't here, ask me on the free consultation.

Will my baby cry?

I don't believe in 'cry it out'. But crying is your child's way of protesting change, and you can expect that changing their sleep habits will result in some protest. I'm always sure to tell parents that up front. Throughout the process I encourage consistency, contact and communication in a loving environment, and my approach keeps you responsive, verbally reassuring and emotionally connected.

What ages do you work with?

The Baby Restful Sleeper package covers 4–17 months. The Toddler & Child Restful Sleeper package covers 18 months and up — toddlers, pre-schoolers and school age children. The 60-minute support call is available at any age.

How quickly will we see a change?

Packages run over three or four weeks with daily support, and your 30-minute follow-up call is a check-in the morning after night one. Most families notice meaningful change within the first week — but the support continues for the full package so that the change actually sticks.

Do we meet in person?

No — everything is delivered remotely by video consultation, phone calls and email. That means you're supported from your own home, at times that work around your child's routine, wherever you are.

We have twins. Is it more expensive?

No. There's no extra charge for multiples — twins or triplets are included in the package price. If you'd like to include an additional sibling of a different age, that's +£95.

What happens on the free 15-minute consultation?

We talk through your child's specific situation, I answer your questions, and I tell you honestly how I can help and which package I'd recommend. There's no obligation to book anything.

What if we need longer than the package?

You can extend at any point: an extra week of email support is +£95, and an extra 45-minute follow-up call is +£45. Every package also ends with a "goodbye package" — a detailed sleep resource guide covering future challenges such as regressions or the move to a big bed.
